Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) or Pregnancy Diabetes is defined as a glucose intolerance occurring, or first detected, during pregnancy. Epidemiological studies show that the average prevalence of GDM varies from two to nine percent in the West, with a clear tendency to increase every year. The big challenge is developing evidence-based lifestyle changes that can prevent GDM and reduce long-term risks that are associated with untreated GDM. GDM can have serious consequences for the mother, the fetus, and the newborn; including the increased risk of developing metabolic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) in later life.
Macronutrient Preload
In treatment of overweight/obesity, T2DM, and other metabolic diseases, more expensive options in the healthcare system include a lifelong treatment with drugs and/or bariatric surgery. Given the avalanche growth of T2DM worldwide, it is a big challenge now to develop sustainable changes in people’s lifestyles that can result in a lower risk of developing T2DM and its long-term aftereffects. Those who are changing their dietary and exercise habits often produce a notion of improved quality of life. A new method has been proven to meet these requirements – the so-called Macronutrient Preload therapy developed at a number of leading universities for treatment and prevention of obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.
Material
More than 15 years of studies and end-user experiences have led us to a point where the efficacy and safety of the new therapeutic methods are quite evident. Since 2012, the company has conducted international clinically controlled studies at leading universities, with a focus on the clinical evaluation of products, mainly for the purpose of treating diabetes and other metabolic syndrome effects. Indevex has conducted nearly twenty observations and pilot studies since its inception in 2001. Indevex has two published studies and a third study is soon to be approved for publication.

Indevex has invested more than 15 years into basic and clinical researches in order to develop a clinical treatment method in the Medical Nutritional Therapy and fight the metabolic syndrome and its subsequent disease, such as diabetes and obesity.
