Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM)

Gestational Diabetes is defined as glucose intolerance of varying degrees, which starts or is diagnosed during pregnancy. This definition applies whether insulin treatment, or only dietary treatment is required, and whether the condition is in remission or persists after pregnancy.

Publications on GDM

“Gestational Diabetes – Summary of Current Science”. The publication is intended to give the reader an overview of the GDM state of knowledge with a special focus on Medical Nutritional Treatment and Preload Balance as new therapies to improve a womans and fetuses/babies health during and after pregnancy. The method is under development and will be included in both the mechanisms of action study (effect on hormone release by GLP-1 and others) as well as in the clinical effects studies conducted in Sweden.
